Flickr...blah...poop

Although my parents still haven't let me spend my own money yet on a flickr pro account, saying that they would talk it over this weekend, it doesn't matter. January ends today, and February is a whole new month, with 20mb of extra bandwidth. That will tide me over until this weekend, if not longer. Still though....sucks....assssssssssssssssssssssssssss that I have all this money, and CAN'T EVEN FREAKING SPEND IT!!!!

Flickr Pro Account

I can't believe this: I want to upgrade my free flickr account to a $24.95 per year account. The result would be unlimited bandwidth. I have over $700 and haven't spent a dime on it because the entire state of New Hampshire remains sold out of Xbox360s. I did the math, and it turns out that a 1-year subscription to flickr costs $2.08 per month, and (on average) $0.07 per day. That's rediculous. Unlimited bandwidth (as well as 20GB of storage space per month) on flickr for less than 7 cents a day!? I relay this to my mom, since I'm still too young to get a credit card, which is the only way besides (shudder) mail order to send the money to flickr, but she is telling me that she wants me to talk about it with my dad. The trouble is, he'll get home right around dinner time tonight. The trouble with that is that all of the things that belong to me that plug in are required to be turned off at dinner time since it is a schoolnight. Apparently having fun makes me do badly in school, so having the least ammount of fun possible will theoretically make me do better in school. Assuming that my dad will accept what I ask and relay his agreement with my proposal to my mom, which in any case will happen either over or after dinner, I will have to wait another 20 hours until I can do what I was looking forward to doing all day. SUCKS TO BE ME.

My version of the video The original site that I watched Videos 1 and 2 on

Archive Digging

I reinstalled Picasa so it now contains all of my photos. It lost almost all of them when I renamed "My Pictures" to "My Pics". I didn't think of this solution until today, and this is one of the many photos that are now available for me too see again: Posted by Picasa

(I'm posting this via flickr at school) In the 2 days that this photo has been on flickr, it already has accumulated more views than most of my New York photos! It's 1 view away from surpassing the photo of the Empire State Building!

Yakalike

Posted by Stosh on Bungie:
I was reading up on digg and found a neat firefox extension called yakalike. Basically allows you to chat with anyone who is currently surfing the same site you are...provided they also have firefox and the yakalike plug in. Anyway lets test it out! Although I imagine the site is getting hit pretty hard right now so it will probably be pretty slow mo.yakalike Bye bye.

The theme of this blog

I realize that my blog has taken a slightly political role lately, but that isn't really the main theme of this blog. It simply starts to get that way when get sick and tired of hearing BULL on the news.

Why the hell hasn't Bush been empeached yet?

HE BROKE THE FREAKING LAW! You're not going to make any enemies by trying to encriminate him, shown below is a rough representation of his approval ratings:

Dear Bush; Resign. Signed, America

Anti-Intellectualism

Courtesy of Wikipedia

Renaissance 2006

Let's start a Renaissance of our own. There's energy and resources for it. We don't have to look to the past in search of artistic ability and talent. Just LOOK at flickr's Explore page. There are artists and art everywhere, all it needs is a distinctive purpose. Intellectualism is not a crime. The knowledge is there, we but need to reach out for it. If the human race would simply stop hating itself, a utopia of mental exploration would arise. I'm not talking about a spiritual, religious, or ethical revolution. What I'm saying is that we are on the verge of something amazing, and all we need to do is notice it. The information age isn't about information. The Internet is about people. Without people contributing to the Internet, it would cease to exist as it is today: a hotbed of ideas, opinions, creativity, and above all, intellectual thought. And you wonder why they call them "Forums".

Chorus Concert

In T-26 minutes. EN3RGY

To Clarify

I'm going to be offline for a WHILE. I'm talking after January is over. If I'm a perfect student. Which is looking pretty gloomy at the moment. Get this: Competencies. Every class in my school is broken up into things called cometencies. 1) You must pass every competency or you will fail the class 2) Every piece of work goes into either one, multiple, or possibly all competencies of the class You can take a test with 10 questions. Questions 1-9 could be on Competency 1 , while Question 10 could be on Competency 2. If you get 1-9 correct and 10 wrong, you will get a 90% on the test; "A-". However, the test will be split into two grades: One for Competency 1, a 9-question test that you got 9 out of 9 questions correct on (100% test grade) and One for Competency 2, a single-question text that you got 0 out of 1 question correct on (0% test grade) To return to fact #1; "You must pass every competency or you will fail the class". Some classes have up to 7 or sometimes 8 competencies. That doesn't mean they give more work in the class. That means that the originally allocated work for the class is spread out over the sometimes 8 competencies, just like the example above. SOME COMPETENCIES ONLY HAVE 3 TO 5 GRADES PER SEMESTER. 100% + 50% + 0% = 150% / 3 = 50% = F = Congratulations you just failed the class. See you at summerschool.

"Unhackable"

The term "unhackable" is thrown around a lot these days, but I think that I can say with some certainty that 01110100011010000110000101110100001000000111010001101000011010010111001100100000011100110110100101110100011001010010000001101001011100110010000001110011011000010110011001100101001000000110011001110010011011110110110100100000011101000110100001100101001000000110010001100001011011100110011101100101011100100111001100100000011011110110011000100000011101000110100001100101001000000110100101101110011101000110010101110010011011100110010101110100

And LO but did the feeling of total joy overtake him as the announcer’s words washed over him like those of a sea.  The sea into which he was swept was not that of water, but that of complete and total bliss.  Thus is the result of such a grateful reaction to those lovely words spoken by such a kind announcer:
“And now the SciFi channel original series, Stargate SG-1”

KillSomeMime

I've posting the following in the form of a new thread in every forum that I know of in which it was on-topic: -------------------- Now, I know what you're thinking. Actually, on second thought, no I don't; so you're all going to have to let me know what you think by either replying to this thread, messaging me, or by commenting on the site: http://www.killsomemime.blogspot.com KillSomeMime is a blog that I just started. On it there are (so far only) 3 short video clips depicting how to kill someone in mime-fashion. Eventually there should be dozens, and depending on the site's success and popularity, perhaps hundreds of KillSomeMime videos. The videos so far (which can be found on the site) are "Grenade", "Call in a Hit", and "Gasoline". You can email me at shaymus22@gmail.com --------------------
